Roaring Fork River
Flow: 182cfs/Aspen (Jaffe Park), 539cfs/Basalt, 879cfs/Glenwood Springs
Conditions: There’s no doubt that this is the best August of fishing we’ve had in several years as we’re now reaping the rewards of a good snowpack coupled with monsoonal afternoon showers. The hopper fishing has been better than usual and guides are reporting hopper eats most days. Rubberlegs and yellow sally stoneflies are still fishing as are a variety of Euro jigs like perdigons, frenchies and bullets. Smaller, tiny and shiny BWO nymphs are good bets as dropper flies. The streamer fishing has generally been limited to the early morning hours. Feel free to give us a call for daily river conditions at 970.963.5741
